THe Shop positions you need to know about

Opportunities to join the team become available as the needs of the business require. Space is limited, so we can only accept the best and brightest. We welcome all to take their shot.

Though we can be pretty silly, we also take our work very seriously. We earn our laid back atmosphere through our discipline and accountability. Create the job you dream of by helping us build the business we dream of.

Welder/helper 1

$16-18 hourly

You must have at least entry level welding skills, which is primarily MIG welding, and good grinding skills and basic knowledge of shop tools. We are not looking for you to know everything here, it is our job to teach you our way. Strong aptitude and good attitude may be enough for the right candidate. We’ll spend a lot of time together if you come on board: We can teach you to do the work, but we can’t teach you to be more enjoyable to be around. If you’re eager to learn, enjoy being helpful, and are willing to face the challenges of our work head on, you may be a good fit.

Welder/Helper 2

$18-20 hourly

You are either promoted from the Welder 1 position or have a bit more experience. You should be able to set up and run TIG, stick and MIG and be able to answer any questions about the setup. You should also know how to trouble shoot and correct porosity and other defects if they occur (Sean says they should not occur). You absolutely must be able to handle and be comfortable with all hand tools within the shop. Build familiarity with our unique tooling and develop the unique skillset we require to be successful in our work. We will challenge you to grow and take on harder projects with less assistance and oversight. If you make a mistake (we all do sometimes), you’ll enjoy the character building exercise of fixing it yourself with support from your team.

Fabricator 1

$18-22 hourly

You should have all of the basic knowledge of the Welder 1 position but we believe you’re ready for bigger challenges, and have the aptitude to be a leader within the team. Working closely with others, we ask you to read prints, infer details with context clues, work with little direction, and problem solve as needed to guide your team to success on the build. Learn to delegate, work cooperatively, and keep things flowing smoothly through the life cycle of a project. This role is best for those who are comfortable with a bit more math and have a bit more grit. We trust your judgement and know you can interface with clients for the basics.

Fabricator 2

$22-28 hourly

You’ve ripened like a fine Tomato and you’re ready to run with the big dogs. You’re a strong leader within the team, offering support to those both above and below you to ensure everyone is doing the best they can be. Your team leans on you for the experience you can bring to the challenges they will face. Your integrity, leadership, positivity, and pride in your work is unwavering and we know you will represent our values and vision, rain or shine. Interfacing with clients is a common occurrence and you’ll expand your skills to offer curated experiences that are kind, compassionate, and full of charm. You may consult on design, estimation, project planning, customer service, and business strategy. You will be sharp as a razor and together we’ll cut away the stigma around blue collar professionals and represent a positive change in our industry and our community.

A word to the wise:

Conduct your interview with honesty and transparency. Our team is built on trust and believe it or not, Sean will know if you’re lying. His favorite movie might be How to Train your Dragon, but his second favorite is John Wick and he will sniff you out so fast your head will spin. We don’t exactly know how he does it, but we know your best shot is to tell us what you can and can’t do, because we’re here to help you learn and grow.

Wear clothes and shoes you’re ready to work in and be prepared for the interrogation and to show us pictures of your pets.
