A Year 2 Reflection

July 1st is around the corner as the team prepares to expand our shop space to 6,000 sqft. The change has been a long time in the making and I’m excited to see it finally come to fruition. Not a moment too soon. A few days ago I sat down in front of the camera like I did about a year ago to reflect on Yellow Weld’s 2nd year in business.

The team has grown and continues to grow a little more every day. I really feel we’re succeeding in our goal of building leaders, professionals, and individuals who see more than just a job when they come in every day to be part of what we do. A goal we’ve kept since the beginning is to be more than that, and I’m humbled all the time in the faith and trust I am given. I still have so much to learn and improve upon.

It feels like an eternity ago now, but a 10’ x 10’ storage unit is where it all began. Suiting up for the cold and working on the concrete to serve our earliest customers. 18 months ago I put on a pair of bibs to keep warm, trying to finish up the work before the sun went down and I lost the only light I had.

This video revisits some of the year’s highlights and also hints at some of the exciting things we have coming up in Year 2.

Humble beginnings make for great stories. Thanks to everyone who has been part of ours as we gear up to celebrate our 2 year anniversary this Friday. There are so many people to thank. If you’ve supported us in any way that you could, thank you. The entire team is so excited for what is to come and we cannot be more grateful for everyone that allowed us to get to this point.

I hope you all will continue to follow the journey with us.

Heres to Year 3.
